Robert Prange (Ph.D.) is a co-author of the 3rd edition of the book ‘Controlled Atmosphere Storage of Fruit and Vegetables’ (CABI, 2018, 420 pp.). He is an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and was formerly Senior Research Scientist, Postharvest Biology and Technology, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and Professor and Head, Department of Plant Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Dalhousie University. He has published over 100 scientific articles, primarily in the field of postharvest biology and technology with a particular interest in Controlled Atmosphere applications in fruits and vegetables. In recognition of his research, and numerous innovations adopted by the postharvest industry around the world, especially the HarvestWatch (DCA-CF) technology, he has received a number of awards including Fellow of the American Society for Horticultural Science, Canadian Partners in Technology Transfer Award and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for contributions to Canada.
